Giclee
I have several of my popular oil paintings reproduced as giclees. The giclee art prints that I’ve reproduced from my landscape oil paintings are some of my favorite subjects.
The wonderful advantage of giclee art is that it can be reproduced in almost any size on either canvas or heavy duty watercolor paper.
Giclee art work has given the contemporary fine art market a new product at a much more reasonable price for the consumer.
Many fine art galleries today offer giclee art prints and it is difficult to tell the original oil painting from the giclee canvas art due to the high quality of the computer printing used today.
All of the giclee art prints that are in my portfolio are signed, numbered, limited edition giclee prints. This insures the value of the piece.
The lower the number of giclee print, the higher the value. In other words, if you have produced 150 giclees, having number 1 is very desirable.
The giclee print market is much like fine oil paintings-the giclee art print has been increasing in value once the edition is sold out. Giclees have now earned a reputation as a viable part of the fine art market.. |
