Realizing the American Dream

We are living through a cost-of-living crisis decades in the making. ​Have you ever wondered why the deck seems stacked against the American Dream? I have.​ 

 

I used my background in planning and engineering to build a financial model to find the 'ground truth' for our district. It evaluates our chances of being self-reliant in realizing the dream. For a family of four to own a modest home, raise two kids, save for college, and retire with dignity, the math reveals a permanent structural gap that hard work alone cannot bridge.

The American Dream shouldn't be a mathematical impossibility. Here's a plan to fix the math.
